It has been a while since I posted (read: 8 months), but there’s no better time than the present to start up again!

In case you are looking for a little inspiration for Christmas gifts, here are ten ideas to get you started!

Let’s jump right in!

  1. A *SECOND* Computer Monitor

If you work on the computer a lot, I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly useful it is to have two computer monitors! You don’t even realize how much this will improve your efficiency on the computer until you experience it. There are lots of monitors for around $100.00.

2. High Quality Olive Oil

Wine is a very common hostess gift, but if you want to do something a little different, try gifting a bottle of very nice olive oil. If it comes in a very pretty bottle, even better! Prices vary a lot, but expect to spend about $30.00.

3. Card Organizer

This is such a great gift for someone who has a lot of cards to organize. My husband loves to buy gift cards at discount prices, and he LOVES this organizer to keep all of his gift cards handy and visible. This is also a great way to keep organized those extra credit cards you have but don’t use frequently. This particular one is from Amazon, is genuine leather, and comes in a variety of colors. You can find lots of card organizer options for around $15.00.

4. Shoe Powder

This powder is amazing at eliminating shoe odors. I have already written about this shoe powder in a “Friday Find” blog post, but this is something most people don’t think to purchase themselves, but is a very useful gift. To avoid offending someone, you probably shouldn’t give this to a friend (unless it is a very close friend)! This particular shoe powder is around $15.00.

5. Tray

I just love trays and I think they can be a very useful gift since they can be used in a variety of ways. This particular one is SO COOL! It is from Costco and is actually two trays that nest together. You can use them together or separately. Not only that, but the bamboo tray is a lap tray and has hidden feet that fold out. At my local store, this tray is $25.00, but online it is $35.00.

6. Wood Board

You can buy beautiful wood cutting boards almost anywhere. They are very useful but also lovely as a decorative piece. You can find these priced anywhere from $10.00 to $50.00+ depending on the size and the store.

7. Standing Shoe Horn

If you are going to gift a shoe horn, it is my opinion that you should make it an extra long one that you can use while standing. The price for most long shoe horns start at $20.00 and go from there.

8. Alligator Hair Clips

These hair clips are so in style right now, but more importantly, they work great! They hold onto hair so well and are absolutely perfect for holding all of those little hairs up on the back of your neck when you have your hair up. Super functional and cute, too! This particular set is from Amazon and is around $16.00.

9. Squishy Banana

When I first held one of these, I’m not going to lie, it felt a little obscene. But, the kids seemed completely unaware of what it felt like (or they just don’t have their minds in the gutter), and they LOVED IT! This is a great gift for that hard-to-shop for kid or teen. This one is from Amazon. Prices vary, but expect to pay at least $5.00 for one.

10. Board or Card Game

There are a lot of new board games and card games out there that are really fun. You could also gift an expansion pack to someone who you know loves a particular board game (like Catan, etc.) Most card games cost at least $10.00 and board games usually cost at least $20.00.
