Adorable glass jars of caramel flan. Friday Finds from Before3pm.com

As I was walking around Costco this past week, I came across these individual flans in the refrigerated section.

It is a package of 8 individual caramel flans.

Flan is fine, but what really caught my eye was the adorable glass jars they came in!

They are about the size of a yogurt cup, and each flan has a foil lid (just like a yogurt cup).

Unlike a yogurt cup, these are glass!

At about $1/each, I had to buy them just for the glass cups – the flan was just a bonus!

I’m not sure how long these will be for sale at Costco, but I always keep my eye out for great jars that can be used after the product is gone!

7 Thoughts on “Friday Find: Flan in Mini Glasses

  1. If they came with real lids they’d be perfect for making individual yogurts. I make mine in quart jars, but individual ones are adorable.

Do you know the nutritional info on these wonderful flans? I’m hoping there’s lots of protein, so I don’t feel so guilty when I scarf one down for breakfast!

    Thank you

I don’t actually. Since I have long thrown away the packaging, I can’t check. If I recall correctly, the ingredients were pretty simple – like cream, sugar, and eggs.

  3. Did you ever do something with them? I kept mine too for the same reason but not sure what to turn them into. Thinking something with votive candles…

Actually, I have been using them for pancake syrup. When I am feeling fancy, I make homemade buttermilk pancake syrup and then I give every member of my family a little one of these jars with the syrup in it. I also love to drink yerba mate, and I use one as part of my DIY travel kit. So, yes I use them, but they are definitely not in a daily rotation!

Candles does sound like a great idea! I feel like there is probably a clever idea for a lid for these cute little jars, and that would potentially open up a lot more options (such as homemade yogurt, etc.)
