Looking for a Christmas activity for a group? This ornament is a great activity for all ages and the end results look really nice.

It is as simple as coloring!
Because the final results look a bit like stained glass, I embraced that look and chose a stained glass design. I printed out the image so that two fit on one standard size page. Click HERE for printout.
Next, trace the design with black sharpie onto the shrinky dink pages. Click HERE for the shrinky dink pages.

After it is traced, you simply color it in with colored pencils any way you like.

Once you are happy with the coloring, cut around the design with scissors.

Before you shrink it, don’t forget to punch a hole at the top for the string! Just follow the directions on the shrinky dink package.
After shrinking, I used a gold sharpie to color in the border for a final touch and tied on the string.

It takes only a couple of minutes in an oven to shrink down to palm size – perfect for the tree!
I positioned mine right in front of a light so that it really does look like stained glass!

If you make this project, I’d love to see your final results!!
Merry Christmas!
